This poster refers in particular to the practice at college art shows (and elsewhere) of showing works by Black artists primarily only in February and by female artists primiarily only in March. The poster reads:

Q. If February is Black History Month and March is Women's History Month, what happens the rest of the year?

A. Discrimination.

In the small print at the bottom of the poster, the Guerrilla Girls refer to themselves as "THE CONSCIENCE OF THE ART WORLD."
